Student Council gives students an opportunity to develop
leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In
addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the
student council is the voice of the student body. It helps share student ideas, interests
and concerns with the school wide community.
Interact Club, the subdivision of Rotary Club at the school level, brings together young
people ages 12-18 to develop leadership skills while understanding the power of Service Above Self.
It encourages students to make a difference in the community, discovering new cultures and
developing international relationships. Over 15000 schools spread across 150 countries of the
world have taken part in this wonderful initiative, our school being one of them.
The idea of Interact Club at DPS Miyapur was brought by our dear Headmistress, Ms. Raina Bhatt.
We have taken baby steps towards serving the society and hope to continue our endeavors in the future.
The students of our school have visited old-age homes and orphanages where they have helped bring joy
in the lives of people. It truly was inspiring to see such maturity and care in my fellow peers.
Our school has performed various community service tasks – visiting old-age homes and orphanages,
spreading awareness about hygiene and sanitation amongst the support staff of the school, and many other
amazing tasks. Our community service journey was reported at the event “Sahay” at the Ganges Valley School,
where our school had bagged the second position.
In the wake of this pandemic situation, we Interactors have kicked off a new year of social service by planting
saplings in our communities. The smiles and joy on the faces of my fellow Interactors fills my heart with joy.
We hope that we can serve the community in our own ways and bring about changes in the lives of people.
The school has introduced the system of houses to encourage team spirit and foster the spirit of oneness
