Classes VI-B and VI-H of DPS Miyapur presented a vibrant assembly on the theme “History behind Indian Monuments”, with a focus on the Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple. Through skits, songs, and dance, students beautifully highlighted the temple’s legend, architecture, and cultural significance. Informative presentations and a group song celebrated India’s rich heritage. The event promoted pride and responsibility in preserving our historical treasures, earning appreciation from the principal and audience alike.
On 9th July 2025, Class VII A conducted an engaging assembly on “Nuances of Puppetry,” highlighting the rich cultural heritage of this art form. The event featured a puppet skit on Rani Lakshmibai, a vibrant puppet dance, and insights into traditional Indian puppetry styles. Students also shared news, word and thought of the day, and honoured puppeteer Padma Shri Bhimavva Shillekyathara. The assembly beautifully blended storytelling, culture, and creativity, concluding with the National Anthem in sign language.
On 2nd July 2025, students of Classes 5A and 5D presented an inspiring assembly on the theme “When Dreams Become Reality.” The highlight was a touching skit titled “The Dream Tree,” which emphasized the power of belief and perseverance. The program also featured prayers, news, motivational reflections, and an energetic dance performance. The assembly concluded with heartfelt appreciation and the National Anthem, leaving the audience motivated to chase their dreams with determination.
The Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2025–26 was held at DPS Miyapur on June 28, 2025, in the esteemed presence of Chief Guest Mr. K. Murlidharan (Retd.), Deputy Commissioner of Police. The event began with the lighting of the lamp and a soulful invocation, followed by inspiring cultural performances. The newly elected Student Council members were conferred sashes and badges, and the oath of office was administered by the Chief Guest. Scholar badges and awards were also presented to meritorious students. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem, symbolizing the spirit of leadership and the school’s motto — Service Before Self.
DPS Miyapur celebrated Yoga & Music Day with great enthusiasm as Grade 5 students showcased the power of wellness through skits, yoga asanas, and music. Chief Guest Dr. Gautam Samanta joined the students in performing yoga and praised their talents. A soulful choir performance and meditation session added to the vibrant atmosphere. The event ended on a patriotic note with the National Anthem.
On June 20, 2025, UKG students at DPS Miyapur joyfully celebrated Father’s Day, honoring the love and guidance of fathers. The event featured heartfelt performances, including songs, dances, and a skit about different types of dads. Children gifted handmade thank-you cards, bringing smiles to every father. Fun games with LKG and UKG kids added to the joy, making it a truly memorable celebration.
